Our mission is to challenge, inspire, and equip today’s educators – both teachers and leaders – to prepare our students for lifelong success. We do this by identifying innovative practices from across the country, ensuring those practices make a positive impact on student learning, sharing those successful practices with educators through our conferences and keynote presentations, and helping schools bring them to scale with professional learning opportunities and hands-on consultation. At the heart of all we do is our proven philosophy that the entire system must be aligned around instructional excellence – rooted in rigor, relevance, and relationships – to ensure every student is prepared for a successful future.
The International Center's daily interactions with schools throughout the country—including the nation's most rapidly improving schools—inform and help us continually refine the research-based strategies and best practices that our team uses to support districts, schools, and teachers across all 50 states and internationally.
We support schools and districts in developing leaders, setting instructional priorities, and transforming instruction to increase achievement for all students, while navigating external pressures—including higher standards, new assessments, teacher evaluations, budget pressures, and much more.
While every school faces external pressures, we recognize that each school has its own DNA, so a one-size-fits-all approach is not effective. That's why our services are tailored to meet individual needs but are always informed by best practices gathered from what we see working in the schools across the country.
